Sorrento, Forever: Emily & Nick

Emily arrived in Cincinnati from Florida with a suitcase, a grad school plan, and no real sense of what would come next. A new city, unfamiliar streets, and the quiet bravery of starting over.
Then she met Nick.
And suddenly, Cincinnati began to feel like home.
A City Introduced, One Date at a Time
Their first date was simple. Nick took Emily downtown for coffee, and what began as a casual afternoon turned into hours of walking and talking, letting the city unfold around them.
With each date, Nick showed her a new corner of Cincinnati she hadn’t yet discovered. Neighborhoods, streets, little favorites that would soon become their places.
All of Emily’s most-loved spots in Ohio started with him.
Not just the city, but the life inside it.
The Drive That Said Everything
Only two and a half months into dating, Nick did something that made it impossible to mistake his intentions.
At Christmastime, he drove fourteen hours, alone, to Emily’s hometown in Florida.
It was late when he arrived. The house was loud, chaotic, full of family and friends and holiday energy. The kind of environment that could easily overwhelm anyone.
But Nick walked in like he belonged.
He fit right in immediately, blending into the beautiful craziness with ease. It was the kind of moment that tells you what you already know:
This is someone who will show up. Fully. Always.

Sorrento
The proposal came far from Cincinnati, but perfectly within their story.
Emily and Nick were traveling through Europe on a cruise with family, and one stop held particular meaning: Sorrento, Italy. A place Emily had once studied abroad, a place she had always carried with her. Nick had been quietly planning.
He found the perfect spot overlooking the water, Mt. Vesuvius rising in the distance. A breathtaking view for a once-in-a-lifetime question.
Just the two of them, in one of her favorite places in the world, Nick asked Emily to marry him.
The moment was intimate, intentional—deeply theirs.
Afterward, they met back up with their family and celebrated with the people they love most, sharing the joy of a moment that meant everything.

What Comes Next
Emily and Nick will be married in May 2027, in Charleston, South Carolina. A destination defined by romance and an easy Southern warmth that feels so fitting for them.
Friends and family will travel from all over the country to spend a weekend celebrating what they’ve built: a love rooted in effort, steadiness, and the quiet certainty of choosing each other.
A huge congratulations to Emily & Nick, and a special thank you to Zack from our team, who helped bring their perfect engagement ring to life!
