Yes. We provide battery replacement for eligible quartz watches from the brands we carry, including OMEGA, Tissot, Bremont, Breitling, LONGINES, Hamilton, Cincinnati Watch Company and Seiko. Battery replacement applies to battery-powered watches; automatic and manually wound mechanical watches do not use a battery.

Many battery replacements can be completed the same day, depending on the model and workshop schedule. For water-resistant watches, our team of certified watchmakers can also discuss any resealing or testing needed after opening the case.

The timeline depends on the repair, parts availability, workshop volume and whether your watch requires manufacturer service. Routine work, such as battery replacement or bracelet sizing, can often be completed the same day. More detailed repairs and full servicing generally take approximately 6–10 weeks, with timing varying by the service required.

We’ll provide an estimated turnaround after evaluation. If your watch needs brand-specific service, our team of certified watchmakers coordinates the process through the manufacturer’s authorized service network and keeps you informed.

Yes. Richter & Phillips has three Rolex-trained graduate watchmakers on staff, an on-site watchmaking workshop and access to brand-specific service options. When manufacturer service is required, we coordinate shipment, service and return through the brand’s authorized network.

Yes. We offer mechanical watch repair and overhaul, including service for automatic watches. Automatic movements wind through wrist motion, while manually wound movements require winding by hand.

If your watch is consistently gaining or losing time, stopping despite adequate winding, or showing a change in performance, bring it in for evaluation. Walk-ins are welcome for watch repair, and appointments are available if you prefer to plan ahead. Battery replacement and bracelet sizing can often be completed the same day, but please allow for the possibility of leaving your watch with us.

Available services depend on the brand, model, condition and replacement parts. We use manufacturer-original parts when available and offer service warranties of up to two years, depending on the work completed. A stopped quartz watch may need a new battery, but a battery is not always the cause. If it stops again shortly after replacement or continues keeping inaccurate time, it may require movement service.

Automatic and manually wound watches do not need battery replacement. A mechanical watch that stops may need further evaluation if the problem persists.
