Back to Where It Began—Elizabeth & Eli
Geographically, they weren’t supposed to meet. But love has a funny way of ignoring boundaries, and starting something beautiful anyway. That’s how Eli and Elizabeth found each other. Despite technically living outside each other’s dating app radius (Columbus meets Dayton), the stars aligned…and so did their phones.
“We always joke that we weren’t even in each other’s radius, but something was working in our favor that day.”
Their first date? Tacos. (Which we think is a strong first-date strategy across the board.) They hit it off so well that their waiter didn’t want to interrupt—literally.
“At the end of the night, the waiter told us he hadn’t been checking on us much because every time he came by, we were deep in conversation.”
That kind of connection, the kind that makes the world around you disappear a little? That’s how you know.
Skyline, a Secret, and a Whole Lot of Love
A beautiful, sunny day in Covington, KY, Elizabeth thought she and Eli were heading to a casual brunch date with a quick stop at Devou Park. A spot that had become truly special to them over the years.
This was the place where they went the night after moving in together, where they celebrated milestones, big wins, and where they made memories during long-distance stretches...
So when Eli suggested they take a few minutes to soak it in before brunch, Elizabeth had no idea what was coming. After a few sweet moments reflecting on the memories they’d made there, Eli proposed—with the Cincinnati skyline in the background and their closest friends and family hiding in the bushes.
“It was such a special day at our favorite place, surrounded by the people most important to us.”
Cue the happy tears, skyline views, and the kind of joy that only comes from being deeply known, and deeply loved.
